Energy & Telecommunication

Traditionally, Soliana Bonapart & Aardenburg is closely related to the energy and telecom sector.  As lawyers for the Curaçao and Bonaire water and electricity companies and the proprietor [operator] of ISLA refinery on Curaçao, we have gained experience with the many facets both of the production and distribution aspects of our island's energy supply. Contracts, disputes, takeovers and concession agreements are matters for which our legal services have been enlisted.  Concomitantly, our office, has from the outset been intensively involved in the asphalt lake project in Curaçao, a commercial and environmental project of great magnitude and special significance to our community.

Soliana Bonapart & Aardenburg may pride itself on having broken up the mobile telephony monopoly on Curaçao by taking the matter to the Court.  We provide advice and litigate on practically all telecommunication matters, including concession agreements, legislation, contracts, telecommunication licenses and authorization, interconnection disputes, bandwidths  and frequencies, streaming and supervision.  In addition, we have assisted telecommunication companies in takeovers, the (re) financing and the launching of their company.
